Yeh Meri Family Review 2018 TV-Show Series Season Cast Crew Online
Stars: Vishesh Bansal, Mona Singh, Akarsh Khurana
Review: A friend of mine recommended this series to me and boy!!what a series it has been!! I am now forever indebted to her for this invaluable suggestion!!Fell in love with the show from the first episode onwards.Once you start watching, it would be an effortless journey since it will take you back to your fond childhood memories of school, family, your first crush, friends, those unforgettable cricket matches of your locality, the DD serials and cartoons etc.
It’s so simple but so great in every aspect be it the setting of the show, the heartwarming script, the spellbinding screenplay, the amazing dialogues or the perfect portrayals of each character by the talented artists!! A show based on the point of view of a 12-13 year old set in ’98 was so endearing to watch which I can’t describe in mere words.
The show took me to those carefree and innocent days of childhood when we always used to enjoy every moment with our friends, siblings and parents irrespective of the occasional fights and tiffs with them. The series focus highly on the emotional bondage with each and every relationship of our childhood. There are so many witty dialogues and hilarious sequences which will definitely leave you in splits. The series reminds of those days which have been the best days of our lives!!
All the characters are so real that after watching sometime you will get engrossed in the story so much, you would start relating everything happening on-screen with your life like,”Hey!This has happened to me as well!”.Loved the way they showed the brothers’ relationship,it’s actually like this in real life!! Brothers always care for us but they never show or tell. The end left me literally in tears!! It really has the right blend of emotions and humour which will keep you engage till the very end.
Great performances by each and every artist be it Akarsh Khurana as the soft-spoken and loving father,Mona Singh as the strict but caring mother,Ahan Nirbhan as the studious elder brother Dabbu, the little and cute “Chithi” Ruhi Khan, the smart kid and the bestie “Shanky” Prasad Reddy, The crush (Vidhya) Revathi Pillai and the last but not the least the cute protagonist “Harshu” played by Vishesh Bansal. Actors are so natural and phenomenal that you will forgot it’s a show going on.You will be amazed by the younger actors who have portrayed the innocence with perfection. These kids don’t know what they have portrayed on-screen was once our daily routine in the 90s and early ’00s.
Every episode is a gem in itself! Kudos to the entire team of TVF for bringing up such an original concept and script which will touch each and every Indian individual to its very core. IMO,it is the best thing happened to the Indian Web Content. The director Sameer Saxena and writer Saurabh Khanna has created the magic of letting us travel back in time and live once again the time of our lives.
Hearing Udit Narayan’s voice in the song “Aisi Hai Hawaa” was an icing on the cake as it was unexpected but a pleasant surprise to sum up the 90s.The song “Dhaaga” by Nilotpal Bora is so amazingly melodious you would be compelled to hear it on the loop; it’s my personal favourite among the whole playlist. The songs, really are a bonus 🙂 Good job by the Vaibhav Bundhoo and Rohit Sharma.
The series is really like a breath of fresh air among all the chaos in our busy lives!! When the season finale ends, it completes you in a great manner since it satisfies a viewer to the fullest but it also left you wanting and craving for more of such highly nostalgic content. It will easily go down in my list of all-time favourites. Please come back soon with Season 2 so that we can keep on witnessing and enjoying Harshu’s journey and relive those long forgotten days.
