Review: Netflix has given orders to two dramas based on the popular series of romantic novels.

“Virgin River” tells the story of Melinda Monroe, who responds to an ad to work as a nurse practitioner in the remote city of Virgin River, California, and thinks it will be the perfect place to start over and leave behind her painful memories. But she soon discovers that life in a small town is not as simple as she expected and that she must learn to heal herself before she can really make Virgin River her home. The program is based on the Harlequin book series of the same name by author Robyn Carr. There are now twenty books in the series “Virgin River”, and together they have sold more than 13 million copies.

Love is in the air on Netflix. This week, the broadcast service announced the distribution of its upcoming Virgin River television show.

Based on Robyn Carr’s books, the romantic drama follows Melinda Monroe, who “responds to an ad to work as a nurse practitioner in the remote city of Virgin River, California, and thinks it will be the perfect place to start over and leaving her painful memories behind … But she soon discovers that life in a small town is not as simple as she hoped and that she must learn to heal herself before she can really make Virgin River her home. ”

In Virgin River, Alexandra Breckenridge has been chosen as the protagonist Melinda Monroe, Martin Henderson (in the photo, left) will play Jack Sheridan, Tim Matheson (in the photo, on the right) will play Doc Mullins and Annette O’Toole, the mayor of Virgin River, Hope McCrea.

Alexandra Breckenridge (This is Us, The Walking Dead) as Melinda Monroe: Desperate to move forward with her painful past, she left everything she knows back in Los Angeles and accepted a job as a nurse practitioner in the remote city of Virgin River, in the Northern California. .
Martin Henderson (Gray’s Anatomy, Miracles from Heaven, Everest) as Jack Sheridan: a former commander of the Marines, Jack Sheridan moved to Virgin River after his service in search of a peaceful life, away from the horrors of the war. .
Tim Matheson (The Affair, The Good Fight, The West Wing) as Doc Mullins: With his manners and a bit of a fight, he does not like to work with anyone, including Mel, whom he considers a challenge to his authority.

Lexa Doig (Arrow, The Arrangement) as Paige Lassiter: a local businesswoman, and an illustrious baker with a warm smile that has its own secrets.
Daniel Gillies (The Originals, Saving Hope) as Mark: Mel’s first love. Surprisingly handsome and accomplished, a surgeon at the Los Angeles ER where Mel worked.
Lauren Hammersley (Orphan Black, Mr. D) as Charmaine Roberts: An attractive stylist from Clear River nearby, and vying for Jack’s attention.
Benjamin Hollingsworth (Code Black, Cold Pursuit) as Dan Brady: another former Marine under the command of Jack, Brady differs from Preacher in almost every respect.
Colin Lawrence (Riverdale, Good Doctor) as John “Preacher” Middleton: Jack’s best friend, the two men who worked together in the army.
Ian Tracey (Bates Motel, Incorporated) as Jimmy: Calvin’s lieutenant and enforcer, anyone who is unfortunate enough to incur Calvin’s wrath, is inevitably forced to deal with Jimmy.
