Tuca & Bertie Review 2019 TV-Show Series Cast Crew Online

Creator: Lisa Hanawalt

Stars: Tiffany Haddish, Ali Wong, Steven Yeun

Review: Judging by the trailer of the new Netflix series “Tuca & Bertie”, there have never been friends like the two characters in the title. Of course, much of that comes from the fact that they are anthropomorphized birds. But the program that puts them in front and at the center seems to be doing things with an animation style that is completely their own.

Tuca (Tiffany Haddish) and Bertie (Ali Wong) are inseparable best friends, both figuratively and almost literally. After Bertie moves in with her boyfriend Speckle (Steven Yeun), the two do everything possible to stay incredibly close. While Tuca and Bertie are rushing to keep afloat with new employment opportunities in a big city, they find a way to confront these powerful adventures together.

Can two birds share the same apartment building without going crazy? Soon we will discover, like Tuca & Bertie, the story of two 30-year-old aviaries, which are leaning at the Tribeca Film Festival and through Netflix.

Tuca & Bertie is an animated comedy series about the friendship between Tuca (Tiffany Haddish), a carefree and conceited toucan, and Bertie (Ali Wong), an anxious, sleepy bird that daydreams. The series also features the voice of Steven Yuen and guest artists Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler and Tessa Thompson, among others.

This style of animal animation similar to the human may seem familiar to the observers of “BoJack Horseman”, which previously worked the creator and executive producer of “Tuca & Bertie”, Lisa Hanawalt. But this new show seems a separate creation. Beyond the strong friendship in the center, he seems not to be afraid of becoming silly from time to time and using every conceivable color in the process. (Oh, and the spectators also seem to be in a handful of fight scenes).

In the series, Hanawalt explained for the first time: “These are real characters, this is a friendship between the women of the birds of 30 years”. I want women in the real world to relate to that, even if they are not birds. ”

This opening season has 10 episodes and also features the creator of “BoJack Horseman”, Raphael Bob-Waksberg as executive producer. In addition to the two talented voices at the center, the program’s cast features appearances by Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, Tessa Thompson, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin and Jermaine Fowler.
