The Father Who Moves Mountains 2021 Movie Review Poster Trailer Online

Based on a true story , “tata muta muntii”is given a thoroughly anti-hollywoodian treatment ; sometimes close to documentary style, it may drag on but all the scenes are necessary to justify the last part ,one of the most poignant in this genre of movie.

The actors do the real-life characters justice: the father is not a cardboard character, but a man of flesh and blood, subject to weakness and selfishness : with the huge means at his disposal (because of his former occupation) , he turns down another desperate mother’s help ,because only his own sons matters .

In the last part ,when only a handful of men are carrying on against all odds his desperate search , his attitude when help is wanted to rescue other people ,his attitude is admirable .

The female parts are not botched : the ex-wife takes refuge in religion whereas his husband has totally lost in faith ;the pregnant new one makes all her scenes count ,and both women stand together.
