The Family That Sings Together: The Camargos Review 2021 Tv Show Series Season Cast Crew

The Family That Sings Together: The Camargos or É o Amor, a Brazilian reality drama series is now streaming on Netflix. The series features Zezé di Camargo and Wanessa Camargo along with their family members and friends. The series has 5 episodes of 45 minutes approximately along with English subtitles. Is the series worth your time? Read to know the same.

The synopsis reads, “Surrounded by family and friends, Zezé Di Camargo and daughter Wanessa spend time together and collaborate creatively in this exclusive reality series.”

The Family That Sings Together: The Camargos had received huge popularity in Brazil. Hence, Netflix decided to make it a proper series with 5 episodes. The characters in focus are singer Zezé Di Camargo and daughter Wanessa. In the documentary series, the father-daughter duo is working together for their new album.

In every episode, we are given an insight into the lives of both Zezé and Wanessa. From Zezé’s hometown to his equation with his ex-wife, daughters, friends to Wanessa’s perception of her father, his career, the legacy and more, everything is covered. Even though this family sings together, the music is not always of happiness. Sometimes, there are disagreements, and the only way out is to sit and talk about it.

The series is like Keeping Up With The Kardashians but with a father-daughter story. Others are just a part of it as supporting characters, pillars in their lives. Zezé also talks about his late father, what music means to him, and the love he receives from people. There’s admiration and respect for each other and the art. Failures and fears are also discussed.

While it doesn’t have ‘The Kardashian’ level of drama, it does have some drama. After all, which family isn’t dramatic? I have an interest in knowing about new people. So it may interest their fans and people who are curious to know about the singers’ lives. Otherwise, the documentary series is not for everyone.

Both Zezé Di Camargo and Wanessa has their own style and perception of music. Both are true artists and have the original form they showcase to the world. It’s interesting to watch how oddly similar and starkly dissimilar they are. Maybe, that’s what makes them stand out from each other. Seeing them collaborate for the documentary and music and putting their life out to the public must not have been easy.

Overall, the documentary series gets more interesting with time, keeping you engrossed. What works in the favour is how it has only 5 episodes. So it’s not too much for anyone who is new to Zezé and Wanessa. But will it be everyone’s cup of tea? I don’t think so.
