Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie 2022 Movie Review Poster Trailer Online

Honestly, this movie was out of the park! I only recently started watching this 2018 iteration of the show, but to my pleasant surprise, I can say that this version really resonated with me! The character designs are spectacular, the colors are bright and eye-catching, and the animation done by Flying Bark Studios is absolutely breath-taking! Definitely worth a watch.

As far as the movie itself, it exceeded most of my expectations. There’s plenty of comedic gags to enjoy, like the exaggerated character faces, silly one-liners, etc. Lots of action-packed scenes and emotional moments where the movie took me off guard, and I loved it! The directors and writers definitely knew where to balance the pacing, and the tone for the story.

Regarding the iteration, I think I can understand where some older fans are coming from. I myself grew up with the 2012 version of TMNT, and the 2018 version at first glance made me unsure if the series was worth my time. But now? I’m in love with it! Everything about the iteration (from the voice casting, the smooth animation, the writing style) you can tell had so much love and care out into it.

The crew and everyone else working on this show worked hard, and it’s very refreshing to see this new take on the turtles show up on the big screen. The family dynamic is dysfunctional, but the way they interact with each other is so much more wholesome and loving! As an older sibling, the way each of the characters played off each other felt so solid to me! Like, really, it was as if the characters could be real teenage siblings goofing around and learning how to live their lives. So this is just such an amazing view on the turtles!

Anyways, yeah, I just love this new iteration so much! It nails this sibling culture so well, feels so immersive, and overall, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone curious. Stick around long enough, and I think you’ll be as impressed as I was!
