NOS4A2 Review 2019 TV-Show Series Cast Crew Online
Stars: Andresito Germosen De La Cruz, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Zachary Quinto
Review: AMC is moving forward with a new supernatural horror series tentatively titled NOS4A2. The series is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Joe Hill, whose novel Horns was adapted into a 2014 movie starring Daniel Radcliffe. Hill, who’s an executive producer on the CW reboot of Tales from the Darkside, will board NOS4A2 as an executive producer.
The 10-episode series – produced by AMC Studios in association with Tornante Television – will arrive under the primary purview of showrunner Jami O’Brien (Fear the Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, Flesh and Bone), joined by executive producer Lauren Corrao, Co-President of Tornante Television. As Hill lauded of O’Brien in an April statement, “her beautifully composed scripts show a writer at the height of her powers, one who has an exquisite touch with character and a relentless instinct for suspense.”
Entertainment Weekly reported yesterday that AMC has picked up Joe Hill’s book NOS4A2 for a 10 episode series. Hill will executive produce with the show’s creator, Jami O’Brien (Fear The Walking Dead). However this isn’t Hill’s first work to make it to the screen. I believe his novel and the film based the novel are both criminally underrated. Perhaps I’ll speak more on that at a later date.
NOS4A2 tells the story of artist Vic McQueen who discovers she has the ability to track Charlie Manx. Manx is seemingly immortal and feeds on the souls of children, sending what’s left to a warped Christmas village of his imagination. In Christmasland every day is Christmas and it’s against the law to not be happy.
I’ve read the novel once, so I don’t remember so much about it. I do remember thinking that Manx seemed similar in ways to Pennywise The Dancing clown from IT. I would highly suggest reading NOS4A2 before the series begins in 2019. You should also check out the rest of Joe Hill’s work including the comic book series Locke & Key.
Nonetheless, it’s an exciting time to be a horror fan. It’s also comforting as a Stephen King fan that when the time comes that he is no longer with us, his sons can scare us silly just the same as he has for these many years. I guess you could say it’s a family tradition.
