Bite Club Review 2018 TV-Show Series Season Cast Crew Online
Stars: Darcie Irwin-Simpson, Marny Kennedy, Deborah Mailman
Review: Nine’s new crime thriller Bite Club boasts a star cast:Todd Lasance (Spartacus: War of the Damned, The Vampire Diaries, Underbelly Files: Chopper), Ash Ricardo (Offspring, Party Tricks), Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms, Janet King), Deborah Mailman (Redfern Now, Offspring), Robert Mammone (Underbelly, Fat Tony & Co, Janet King), Pia Miller (Home and Away), Marny Kennedy (Janet King), Darcie Irwin-Simpson (Love Child) and Dominic Monaghan (Lost, The Lord of The Rings, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Wild Things).
After surviving a shark attack, homicide detectives Dan Cooper (Todd Lasance) and Zoe Rawlings (Ash Ricardo) join forces to hunt the ultimate predator, a serial killer who is also hunting them.
Not only are they survivors but also ex-lovers. Exceptional at what they do, together they’re a force like no other. Zoe is happy in a new relationship, but after three years away Dan knows Zoe was the one he let go and wants her back. Will Dan and Zoe be able to work together to hunt down the serial killer or will they become the killer’s next victims?
I enjoy a good cop series with strong dedicated characters that get stuck into solving crime. However these guys are hell bent on saving their love lives with a complete detachment to the job The directors lack the capacity to tell the story visually and instead smash us constantly with tight shots of faces that we barely know and we miss once again the important aspects of the crime scene. Sorry guys…. just the same old stuff! Boring.
Bite Club is produced by Playmaker for Nine, with major production investment from Screen Australia, in association with Create NSW.
