Normally, I go into Hallmark wedding movies with a heavy dose of skepticism. They’re usually full of melodramatic wedding-planning tropes, such a meddling parents and bridezillas. In all of the previews for Beverly Hills Wedding, I haven’t seen any meddling parents, so hopefully, we’re saved from that storyline. I guess personally I’m not a fan of large, elaborate weddings, so I don’t see the appeal of movies about them either. To be fair, I consider over 50 people elaborate 😄

Beverly Hills Wedding movie follows Molly as her efforts planning and facilitating her sister’s wedding poses a more fundamental question.

Molly is a small town photographer who loves her baby sister and wants the best for her. When the sister gets engaged, Molly is happy and pushes the new couple to participate in a contest.

The couple and Molly are ecstatic when they win the contest and awarded an all expense paid wedding in a grand Beverly Hills hotel. Moreover, the wedding will be no planned by a wedding planner for the stars.

However, the couples seems uneasy and overwhelmed by all the celebrations and attention they are getting. The maid of honor duties pushes Molly then closer to the Best Man, who also happens to be her ex.

As her feelings are once again in turmoil, Molly must answer the question that is nagging her – whose dreams is she really trying to fulfill.

Brooke D’Orsay of Royal Pains and Brendan Penny of Chesapeake Shores star in the new, original movie. Emily Schmitt writes the story of the film directed by Paul Ziller.
